Description | |
Background | Angiotensin II is a polypeptide produced by the hydrolysis of angiotensin I under the action of angiotensin converting enzyme. Angiotensin receptors exist in vascular smooth muscle, glomerular zone cells of adrenal cortex, some parts of brain, and cells of heart and kidney organs. Angiotensin II binds to angiotensin receptor, causing corresponding physiological effects. |
